Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku has landed in London to complete his £97.5m (€115m) transfer from Inter Milan to Chelsea.

Earlier in the week, Inter fans protested against the Chinese-owned club in a 2-0 friendly win at Parma on Sunday regarding Lukaku’s transfer.
After Chelsea agreed with a club-record deal, the 28-year-old underwent the first part of his medical in Milan.

How has he evolved?
Lukaku left Chelsea in 2014 after signing for the Blues from Anderlecht in 2011, he went to Everton and established himself as a fearsome striker in English Premier League.
Between 2014 and 2017, Lukaku scored 87 goals in 166 games; the Belgian also found the net 42 times in 96 appearances in his two years stint at Manchester United before signing for Inter in 2019.
Inter Milan overthrew Juventus’ nine-year reign as Italian top-flight champions, as Lukaku was a major factor to the feat following his 24 goals in Serie A.

What has been said
Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel was unwilling to admit the deal for Lukaku had been agreed; but also stressed the No 9 role is an area the club is looking to strengthen after Olivier Giroud left the club to join Ac Milan.

He said, “We lost Olivier Giroud, who played a crucial role in the club.” He said Oliver’s profile is amiss in his squad right now.

The prolific striker will become the most expensive Chelsea signing when the deal is completed officially.
