Veteran actors Madam Saje and Kanayo O. Kanayo will be honored with ‘Lifetime Achievement’ awards at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.

The announcement was made by BON Awards founder, Seun Oloketuyi, who emphasized the importance of recognizing these legends while they are still alive.

In his statement, Oloketuyi noted, “Why must we wait until our movie heroes have passed to give them awards? Posthumous awards have their place, but it’s more meaningful when the recipients can accept them in person.”

He highlighted the significance of the two honorees, saying, “Actress Fausat Balogun, better known as Madam Saje, and Kanayo O. Kanayo are icons many of us grew up watching. They inspired the current generation of actors while still maintaining their presence in the industry. That’s why they were chosen as this year’s recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The awards will be presented on November 24 at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State. Past recipients of this honor include Toyin Adegbola, Madam Kofo, and Adebayo Salami.
