In the semifinals of the Open Cup, Lionel Messi provided two crucial assists during regulation, aiding Inter Miami in securing a 3-2 victory over FC Cincinnati in extra time.

Subsequently, the match extended into extra time and eventually reached a penalty shootout.

Youngster Benjamin Cremaschi clinched the game-winning penalty during the shootout, concluding 120 minutes of play at a 3-3 draw.

Maintaining his streak, Messi has now contributed goals or assists in eight consecutive matches for the Herons. 

Since joining in mid-summer, he has steered them to their second cup final.

Once again, Messi’s influence has propelled the Herons into the Open Cup final, highlighting his magical impact.

In his first regular season match this Saturday, the Herons, led by Messi, will play at Red Bull Arena.
