The Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Godknows Angele has emerged the Best Performing Council Chairman of the incumbent administration in Delta State.
Also, the Councillor representing Ward 2/4 in Uvwie Local Government Area, Ogbevire Ashubu received the Councillor and Future Leader Award.
The duo was given the accolade at the Delta Edition of the Merit And Honorary Awards, MAHA 2023.
The awards was organized by rising digital newspaper, Daily Report Nigeria as part of its third year anniversary.

Receiving the award, Angele, who was represented by Sunny Perekeme, Secretary of Burutu Council, dedicated the accolade to the people, Legislative Arm and members of his Executive Council for providing an enabling environment for him to thrive.
On her part, Ogbevire dedicated the gong to her late mother, whom she said prepared her morally and mentally enough to be a live right.

The ceremony aimed at recognizing and honouring outstanding impacts of leaders across both public and private sectors in Delta State.
The event was also put up to promote outstanding leaders and personalities whose impacts have been felt in the political, social, and economic spheres of the state.
