The maiden edition of the Ijaw Media Conference will hold today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The conference promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking event and will bring together media practitioners, journalists, and stakeholders from across the Niger Delta region to discuss critical issues affecting the Ijaw nation and the media industry.

Key topics to be discussed at the conference include the role of the media in promoting Ijaw culture and identity, the challenges facing Ijaw journalists in the industry, and the importance of media advocacy in driving development in the Niger Delta region.

The conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and presentations from renowned media experts and Ijaw leaders.

The conference organized by the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) will see activities begin by 12 pm. at the prestigious Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
