Man Accuses parents Of Witchcraft, Burns Down House, Car

  • A man has bagged jail term after commiting arson.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the man, identified as Knowledge was said to have accused his parents of witchcraft, before proceeding to commit the crime.

The incident, which reportedly happened in a community of Zimbabwe, Chinhoyi saw a 21-year-old man, identified as Knowledge Jani set his parents house on fire.

It was gathered that Jani had, in a fit of rage accused his father and stepmother of witchcraft, adding that they were responsible for his ongoing sickness.

Reacting, he attacked his father’s Nissan Sunny, shattering its windows and severely damaging its exterior.

He then proceeded to siphon fuel from the car, and used it to set the house on fire.

Emergency officers were able to contain the flames, d put out the fire, but not after it caused a significant damage, said to work over $14,000.

The court’s ruling, eagerly awaited by both the community and the affected family, culminated in Jani receiving a 4-year sentence, with one year suspended on the condition that he does not commit a similar offense in that time, leaving him to serve an effective 3 years in prison.
