The girl’s parents realized something was wrong when she returned home in tears. “Upon questioning, the parents discovered that the girl had been defiled,” Bala said.

The vigilantes were contacted immediately. Bala explained that they accompanied the parents to the suspect’s shop, where Usman initially denied the allegations. After repeated questioning, however, he reportedly confessed to touching the girl.

The vigilantes then took the child to a hospital, where medical professionals confirmed that she had been penetrated. Following this, the suspect was handed over to the Gwagwalada police for further investigation.

A police source, speaking anonymously, confirmed the arrest and stated that Usman would face charges in court once investigations are complete.
