A man has surprised many with his act after attacking a snake that bit him.
According to reports, the 35-year-old Indian man, Santosh Lohar had been bitten by a snake while he was taking a nap, and in retaliation, he quickly grabbed the reptile with an iron rod and biting it twice.

Speaking to India Today on why he did so, Santosh said: ‘In my village, there’s a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it back twice to neutralize the venom.’
According to him, biting the snake prevents him from dying, a superstition very popular in his community.

Although the type of snake that bit him has not been confirmed, he was rushed to a nearby hospital and had been administered an anti-venom antidote and was released the following day.
