A Magistrate court in Jos has sentenced a man for theft.
According to reports, the accused identified as Zih Davou, a trader was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing a he-goat from a man’s house.
While speaking, the prosecutor Insp Ijuptil Thiawur, told the court that the suspect broke into the home of the victim, and stole the goat worth #100,000.
He further added that the case was reported on August 19, at the “B” Division police station by one Fawole Ayodeji.

Delivering judgement on Wednesday, the judge, Shawomi Bokkos ordered the convict to pay N50, 000 fine or one year in prison and a compensation of N50,000 or six months in prison in default.
