A certain man named Junior Augustine Akor has reportedly killed his female relative, Faith Akuji after raping her in Enugu State.
It was said that the incident occurred in the Ette community when the 16-year-old Akuji went missing in the evening hours of June 8, 2023, after her grandfather sent her to grind cassava in the community centre.
Thereafter, Enugu Police spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe (DSP), said efforts to locate her whereabouts proved abortive.

Akor was arrested by the vigilante operatives in the area and detained by the Police Command.
He confessed during interrogation that he dragged the victim into a nearby bush and forced himself on her before strangling her to death.
Akuji’s decomposing body was discovered in the bush at Mpole-Ubere in the Ette community.
The DSP stated that the case was under investigation at the homicide section of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, SCIID
Upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will be arraigned in court, according to Ndukwe.
