This happened in Ashaka, Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The incident came to light after the father of the deceased, Usman Dala reported the matter to the Ashaka Police Outstation that on May 1, 2025.
According to him, his son, Abdullahi and his friend, both 14 years old, were enticed by one Babayo Adamu from Feshingo, Ashaka.
A source who confirmed the incident said the two teenagers were allegedly given a harmful concoction by the suspect, which resulted in the death of Abdullah and the second boy, Hassan was rushed to the Bajoga General Hospital for medical attention.
At approximately 6:12 p.m., the police received the report and swiftly proceeded to the scene, where Abdullahi’s lifeless body was photographed for documentation.
“Hassan Adamu’s condition was described as critical but stable after receiving urgent care at the hospital,” the source said;
The police added that more efforts are being made to arrest the suspect who is currently at large.
