A 37-year-old man has been apprehended by the Police Command in Anambra for allegedly killing his girlfriend by pushing her off the 5th floor of a five storey building.
The suspect identified as Nonso Eze whose apartment is on the 5th floor Number 6 Orakwe close, Fizzle Awada Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, is said to have committed the heinous crime following a quarrel with his girlfriend.
The deceased was first thought to have fell off accidently as police operatives of the Awada Division visited the scene, photographed the victim and rushed her to Bex hospital Onitsha for medical attention, where she was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor.

Preliminary inquiry from the occupants of the compound revealed that the girl was allegedly pushed down from the room of one Nonso Eze ‘m’ aged 37 of same address who occupies the 5th floor following a quarrel.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and search executed in his apartment, where a pair of female slippers and unused condom was recovered as exhibits.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra state, CSP Marina Mohammed while confirming the incident, disclosed that further investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the lady.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased has beeb deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
