  • A man is currently wanted by the police for murder in Lagos state.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the suspect was said to have stabbed his cousin to death following an an altercation.

A man has been put on the wanted list after allegedly stabbing his cousin in Lagos state.

The suspect, identified as Ganiyu Ibrahim is said to have stabbed his cousin, Afeez Akeem with a bottle on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Confirming the incident, the police PRO of the state, Benjamin Hundeyin said the case was reported to the police by a woman who said her son, Ganiyu, and her nephew, Afeez were having a misunderstanding that resulted in a physical confrontation.

“As a result, Ganiyu broke a bottle and stabbed Afeez on the left side of his chest. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed d3ad by the doctor on duty. A team of detectives was immediately mobilised to the scene, and photographs were taken,” Hundeyin added

He also added that the family of the deceased declined an autopsy, saying they want to bury Akeem according to Islamic rites.

The suspect is at large. Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect,” the PPRO added.
