Operatives of the Niger State Police Command har arrested a man for the alleged murder of his friend following a dispute.
It was gathered that the suspect, Mohammed Isah was said to have stabbed his friend, Nurudeen Nuhu, with a knife in thw stomach during a fight in the m abattoir area of Kwata Tayi village, a suburbs of Minna on Saturday morning, June 29, 2024.

Nurudeen immediately collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was later confirmed dead.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun said;
“It was reported at GRA Division that there was a fight between one Mohammed Isah of Angwan-Biri and Nurudeen Nuhu of Angwan-Daji at Abattoir area, Kwata Tayi village over a handset issue,” the PPRO said.
“During the fight, Mohammed Isah allegedly stabbed Nurudeen with a knife in the stomach. Police operatives attached to the Division moved to the scene and rushed the victim to the Gen. Hospital where he gave up the ghost and was confirmed dead
“Mohammed Isah was arrested and a preliminary investigation is ongoing. He will soon be transferred to SCID for further investigation and prosecution.”
He added that police force have been mobilized in the area to maintain peace and order.
