Lisandro Martínez and Noussair Mazraoui will miss Sunday’s Premier League opener against Arsenal, manager Rúben Amorim confirmed on Friday.

Martínez continues to recover from a long-term knee problem and won’t feature, while Mazraoui sits out with a hamstring strain.
Consequently, Amorim now has to rethink his defence ahead of a high-profile kickoff at Old Trafford.
There was brighter news elsewhere. André Onana and Joshua Zirkzee are progressing in their recoveries and could be available, and new signing Benjamin Šeško might earn a debut.
“No, Licha [Lisandro Martinez] and Mazraoui are out, they cannot play this game. “Josh [Zirkzee] and Andre [Onana] are recovering and are options. We’ll see,” – Amorim said.
With two key defenders sidelined, United must adapt quickly, likely by reshuffling the backline or turning to backup reinforcements to avoid a shaky start against a strong Arsenal side.
For now, Man Utd team news will dominate the build-up, so check the final team announcement in the hours before kickoff.
