Manchester United have set a condition for making Sofyan Amrabat’s loan deal permanent. Amrabat joined the club on a season-long loan from Fiorentina last September after a standout performance for Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
While the initial loan included an option to buy Amrabat for €20 million (£16.8 million), Manchester United have decided not to exercise this option, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Instead, they are looking to negotiate a new agreement with Fiorentina for a permanent transfer.
Sofyan Amrabat had a challenging first season in the Premier League but managed to regain form towards the end of the season, impressing in key matches against Newcastle United and Brighton, and delivering a strong performance in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
