Mbaka Not Removed From Adoration Ministry– Catholic Diocese

The Enugu Catholic Diocese has contradicted speculations that Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, was removed from his position as the spiritual director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria (AMEN).

According to the diocese, Mbaka was only asked to take time away in solitude to listen to what the Spirit of God had to tell him.

This was announced by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Achi, Director of Communications, Enugu Diocese, according to newsmen.

Achi added that Mbaka would return to continue his duties by the end of his meeting with the “Spirit of God.”

Reports equally stated that Achi had an interview with the National Director of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Padre Mike Nsikak Umoh, where he revealed Mbaka’s recent assignment.

In the interview, Fr. Achi said after the proposal for solitude, Mbaka was allowed to propose a temporal priest to administer to the faithful at the Adoration Ministry.

Fr. Mbaka hence on Sunday, 2 October 2022, introduced Fr. Anthony Amadi to the worshippers to take charge while he would be away with the approval of Bishop Callistus Onaga.

However, the spokesman stated that some faithfuls disagreed with the replacement process as they insisted that Mbaka must stay back.
