Mbappe to join Real Madrid next year – Ex-PSG striker

Former Paris Saint-Germain striker, Nicolas Anelka has said that the club’s forward Kylian Mbappe will depart Le Parc des Princes to join Real Madrid next year.

Anelka, a former Real Madrid player, said this ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Rennes on Friday.

Mbappe’s current contract with PSG will expire at the end of the season.

The France international is yet to sign a new deal with PSG and he is keen to join the LaLiga giants at the end of the season.

“It will be a special game [PSG vs Real Madrid Champion League round of 16 tie],” Anelka told MARCA.

“Everyone says that he [Mbappe] is going to go to [Real] Madrid. And will he want to make a difference to show precisely that he can play at [Real] Madrid?

“It’s possible that he wants to win to leave PSG in style before going to Madrid, but the truth is that I don’t know what’s going on in his head.

“What I can say is that generally when a player wants to leave on a free [transfer]… If he wanted to stay, I think he would have signed [a contract renewal] earlier. I think he will be at [Real] Madrid next year.”
