The Croats were out of sorts as they could not muster any spirit for a comeback .
Julian Alvarez was fouled in the box which Lionel Messi converted, late in the first half he (Alvarez) took on the Croatian defence on a mazy run luckily slotting in the second while Messi completed the rout with a magnificent assist to Alvarez for his double.
Argentina will face either France or Morocco at the Lusail stadium on Sunday Sunday finals.
