Former Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has added his voice to the Messi vs Ronaldo the debate on who is the best player of all time.

The former German midfielder picked Portugal’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, as his best player of all time.

Ozil, who just recently announced his retirement from football, shared the pitch alongside Ronaldo at Real Madrid for three seasons from 2010 to 2013.

Ozil and Ronaldo played 149 games together for Los Blancos, combining well to produce an impressive 39 goals.

In an interview with MARCA, Ozil relished his time with the Portuguese forward and who his choice of best Player was.

He said: “It was a lot of fun playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, who, for me, is the best player of all time.

“We both understood each other very well on the pitch, it was perfect.

“I assisted and he scored. Giving passes to a player who almost never missed was a gift.”
