The Meta team have lifted all bans against former US President, Donald Trump.

Releasing a statement on Friday, July 12, Meta announced the removal of all limits and bans on Trump’s official Facebook and Instagram account.

This comes days after Trump criticized the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg online.

Recall that Trump was banned from both Facebook and Instagram in 2021 following the Capitol insurrection. Meta reinstated Trump’s account last year, but said it would be monitored closely.

Rumours have it that Trump’s account was reinstalled following the call-out he did to Zuckerberg on Truth Social, a platform Trump created after his mainstream social media ban. Trump posted,

“All I can say is that if I’m elected President, we will pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time. We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBUCKS, be careful!”
