In her detailed statement, Roberts accused Dr. Olukoya of subjecting her to sexual harassment and emotional abuse while also unlawfully withholding her late husband’s intellectual property for more than eight years.

According to Roberts, she joined MFM after converting from Islam, seeking prayers and counselling. She alleged that after being asked to work as a transcriber for Dr. Olukoya, he began to subject her to inappropriate questions and disturbing physical encounters under the guise of deliverance sessions.

“He would slap my womb, touch my eyes, scrub my forehead, strangulate my neck, and even hugged me in ways that made me uncomfortable,” she said.

Roberts claimed that her late husband, Pastor Tope Roberts, was a rising gospel star who had won a music competition and signed to MFM’s record label. However, since his passing, she alleged that Olukoya and the church leadership erased all his works from social media and refused to give her copies of his music, videos, or even burial footage.

She further alleged that she was stigmatised by the church, labelled as an “Emere” (marine spirit), and accused of killing her husband. According to her, the trauma pushed her into depression and therapy.

Roberts also recounted multiple incidents of attempted sexual harassment by MFM pastors after her husband’s death. One allegedly told her he could make her “look better” by sleeping with her, while another tried to touch her inappropriately at his home.

She added that Olukoya once threatened to stop sponsoring her son’s education if she refused to take down her late husband’s songs from YouTube.

“This is eight years now, and Dr. Olukoya has refused to release my husband’s intellectual property. I have moved on, but I trust that one day justice will prevail,” she said
