Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has named Real Madrid stars Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior as the leading contenders for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Both players were standout performers for Real Madrid last season, helping the team secure both the Champions League and La Liga titles.
“Bellingham has obviously done great. If England have a strong showing at the Euros, he would be the obvious choice. Vinicius Junior has done equally well,” Owen told DAZN.

He added, “You have to wait for the Euros, though. If Mbappe scores a hat-trick in the final like he did in the World Cup, he could be a late contender.”
Owen concluded, “At the moment, it looks like a toss-up between Vinicius Junior and Bellingham, but with the biggest tournament of the year still to come, things can change.”
