Timber was substituted at halftime during their 2-0 victory over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday, while White missed the game due to injury concerns.

Speaking to reporters on Friday ahead of the Saints’ visit, Mikel Arteta noted, “We had to adjust training for our players on Thursday. We did the same today because of the physical load they experienced.”

He added that a decision would be made later that day regarding their potential involvement in the match. “They are close to returning, and [Takehiro] Tomiyasu is also nearing full fitness. That’s good news for us,” Arteta said.
