The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed that 36 military officers lost their lives in Niger State.
Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, told newsmen on Thursday during a briefing on the casualties resulting from the ambush of troops and the subsequent helicopter crash on August 14, 2023.
Buba asserted that the cause of the crash was currently under investigation.

He further urged citizens to remain vigilant against terrorist propaganda and maintain their patriotism.
