Men of the Nigerian Army have reportedly rescued over 900 passenger who were onboard the Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by terrorists, on Monday night.
The terrorists, who detonated a bomb on the railtrack, had shot sporadically while during the operation.
The attack was confirmed by villagers and many reliable sources, including former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani.

However, some of the passengers who started the SOS calls on social media, have reported that they have been rescued by the military.
According to Anas Iro Danmusa, “Alhamdulillah! The army are with us. We are safe!!!”
Danmusa was among the first to raise an alarm of the attack, taking to his Facebook account to say;
“Please this is an emergency. We are inside train at the moment. Kidnappers planted explosives and the train engines have been ruined. We are helpless. Abuja to Kaduna train. Gunshots still being fired right around us. We are just under the seats praying to God while waiting for help. Since 8pm we hv bn here. Btw Katari to Rijana. I am a living witness…”
He confirmed that the terrorists tried to force their way into the train well over an jour without success.
“There is bad network where we are at the moment. It is just luck that I am able to type this. They are actually trying to force themselves inside the train…no help yet. Over 1 hour. Please spread the news. We need help. Gunshots,” he wrote.
Another passenger, Adamu Hayatu, who raised the alarm on Twitter, also confirmed that the military rescued the train from being taken over by the terrorists.
