Miyetti Allah Launches 1,144 Nomad Vigilante Group

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Fulani Sociocultural Association has launched an over 1000 Nomad Volunteer Vigilante Group to fight all forms of insecurity in Nasawara State.

The Nomad Volunteer Vigilante Group consists of 1,144 volunteers to fight against banditry, kidnapping, and cattle rustling in the state.

The group’s president, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, unveiled the vigilante outfit on Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital.

Bodejo stated that the group aims to assist security agencies with useful information about criminals and report some security issues where necessary.

He added that the volunteers were carefully selected, screened, and profiled.

The group will collaborate with security agencies in fighting banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling, hunger, and poverty.

Bodejo said:

The nomad vigilante group is not merely an initiative; it is a manifestation of our shared commitment to economic, job creation, inclusivity, and the relentless fight against banditry, cattle rustling, hunger, and poverty.

“To all nomad vigilante groups, this is a clarion call to unity on purpose. Let us forge alliances with relevant security agencies to fish out criminal elements among communities.

Governor Abdullahi Sule had previously met with the leadership of the sociocultural association to seek its assistance in the fight against crimes and criminalities.
