The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) troops have intercepted a logistics supply syndicate linked to Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at the Cross Kauwa Market in Mongunu, Borno State.

It was revealed that the interception was successful with the help of intelligence operatives and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).

The syndicate, consisting of one Modu Gana, Mamman Saleh, and Babagana Muktar, was caught while transporting supplies to the terrorists.

Upon interrogation, the syndicate members confessed to being key logistics providers for the terrorist group.

A thorough search revealed a large cache of items intended for the terrorists, including a tecno phone, six goats, food items like Maggi, Guinea Corn, and Millet, as well as various other essential supplies.

The seized items also included charms, metal bowls, a calculator, a wristwatch, perfume, prayer beads, and 36 empty sac bags.

Reports also further revealed that the apprehended syndicate members are currently undergoing intense questioning to gather more intelligence, which may lead to further arrests and the dismantling of the terrorist logistics supply network in the Lake Chad Region.
