– Says it was a false alarm, sues for Peace
Mr. Perekpo Perekemesugha aka otherwise known as Sasingha of Ojobo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has tendered an unreserved apology to trio of Christopher Boss, Ebolo Samuel and Isaiah Obiriki who were falsely dubbed kidnappers and mobbed when they visited the community for legitimate business.
Perekpo in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Monday, asserted that the incident was an offshoot of a false alarm and declared his absolute regret for spearheading the action.

He narrated that the mobbed youths were victims of mistaken identities and pleaded for forgiveness while suing for peace.

He reiterated that the trio had gone to Ojobo community to carry out legitimate business, where their host host had directed them to him for help.
He therefore appealed to the wrongly accused youths, their friends, acquaintances and family members on behalf of Ojobo community to forgive him and the youths of Ojobo community for falsely accusing them and the physical assault meted out to them, noting that, they regretted their actions.
His statement reads;
“Due to a mistaken identities, I raised a false alarm accusing Mr. Christopher Boss, Mr. Ebolo Samuel and Mr. Isaiah Obiriki as kidnappers which attracted a mob action from the youths of Ojobo community and they were later handed over to the Nigeria police.”
“I want to sincerely with total humility and regret, on behalf of my family, friends and Ojobo community youths, apologize to the following highly respected youths, Mr. Christopher Boss, Ebolo Samuel and Isaiah Obiriki, their friends, acquaintances and family members”.
Perekpo explained that a police investigation had revealed that the accused youths were innocent of the alleged crime allegation levelled against them.
Recall that the aggrieved trio had petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, demanding for a full page open apology from Mr. Perekpo Perekemesugha aka Sasingha on two notable national dailies and same be published on two notable online newspapers, in terms acceptable to them.
The falsely accused trio had threatened to institute a legal action against Mr. Perekpo Perekemesugha aka Sasingha if he fails to comply within two weeks.
