The Lagos State Police Command has released Nigerian rapper, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley and his ally, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, known as Sam Larry, from custody.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the duo was released after meeting their bail conditions on Friday.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry were arrested and faced trial in court over their alleged connections with the death of Mohbad.

A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, on Monday, November 6, 2023 had granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible duties.

Naira Marley’s former signee, Mohbad died in controversial circumstances on September 12, leading to a public outcry and calls for the the label boss’ arrest.

While granting them bail, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, told the defendants to submit their passports and ordered that they are to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
