The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been instructed by a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos to produce Nigerian singer Naira Marley for trial on internet fraud charges.
Marley was charged on 11-count charges bordering on conspiracy and credit card fraud, a case that has been on since June 2022.
The court also issued a production warrant against the embattled musician.
The Malian Boss was recently appointed as an ambassador for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to help fight drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria.

However, the development was not the first time he had had a brush with the law.
In May 2019, he was arrested by the EFCC in Lagos for alleged advance fee scams and related cyber crimes.
Meanwhile, Naira Marley is currently embroiled with allegations of having a hand in the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
He his currently remanded in prison as the police continue investigation into the case.
