MultiChoice Uganda has launched new affordable 7-day DStv and GOtv subscription plans under the “Ka Weekie” campaign, with packages starting from UGX 5,000.

The weekly packages are designed to cater to customers who prefer short-term, flexible payment options, offering various tiers across both DStv and GOtv platforms.
MultiChoice Uganda has rolled out a series of affordable weekly subscription packages for DStv and GOtv users under a new initiative dubbed the ‘Ka Weekie’ campaign.
The move, announced on Thursday, is aimed at offering greater flexibility and affordability to subscribers who prefer short-term viewing options.
The new 7-day packages come with prices as low as UGX 5,000, making entertainment more accessible to a wider audience. On the DStv side, the weekly Lumba package goes for UGX 5,000, Access for UGX 14,000, Family at UGX 22,000, and Compact at UGX 37,000. For GOtv, the Lite pack costs UGX 5,000, Valuepack UGX 7,000, Plus at UGX 11,000, Max UGX 17,000, Supa UGX 22,000, and Supa Plus UGX 37,000.

“We understand that our subscribers require affordable and flexible options to keep up with their favorite shows and programs,” said Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda.

Echoing this sentiment, Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing, noted, “You asked, we listened! This is a step in the right direction in offering subscribers the best in entertainment at affordable price points, allowing them to pay and watch at their own convenience.” He added that the campaign targets daily and weekly earners, travelers, and those with on-demand viewing habits.
Subscribers can activate the new plans via the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps, by dialing *206#, or using Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, partner banks, and selected agents. Users can switch back to monthly, quarterly, or annual packages at any time, with active weekly plan costs deducted from their new subscription balances.
