Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has responded to rumors that he may pick a Muslim as his running mate.

Tinubu, who refuted the allegations, stated that he intended to choose a Northern Christian as his running mate.

He made the remark yesterday while speaking to journalists at an APC governorship rally in Ekiti State.

Tinubu distanced himself from the rumors, stating that the perpetrators were undemocratic elements who are already threatening his upcoming presidential victory.

“The VP seat belongs to the Northeastern area, notably Christians,” he stated, adding that “consultations are still ongoing as to who would be chosen.”

Tinubu reassured Nigerians that no group, institution, or individual has the authority to impose anybody on him.
