“My Dad Made Me Sign Undertaking When I Dropped Out In Final Year” – Fireboy DML

Popular Nigerian musician, Adedamola Adefolahan, better known as Fireboy DML has revealed what his father did when he decided to drop out of school during his final year.

The ‘Peru’ crooner, during a chat with Zeze Mills, said his father made him sign an undertaking following his decision to quit school and move to Lagos.

Fireboy said he started music as an errand boy at the recording studios, adding that he was spending more time in the studio as a ‘studio rat’ and it started to affect his grades in school.

He revealed that after some time, the music heads realized he could write, and that was how he became a songwriter for artists.

According to him, it was surprising that his father did not object, rather he made him sign an undertaking to always obey him, and after two years, if he does not blow then he would do whatever is asked of him.
