Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of detained Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, testified before the US Parliament, alleging that the Nigerian Government has held her husband in Kuje prison alongside Boko Haram terrorists and bandits.

Represented by Congressman Rich McCormick, Yuki Gambaryan spoke at the House Foreign Affairs Committee roundtable on Americans detained abroad, stating that her husband has been in custody for 65 days.

Tigran Gambaryan and colleague Nadeem Anjarwalla were detained on February 26 as part of an investigation into Binance’s Nigerian operations.

While Yuki Gambaryan claimed that she couldn’t speak on behalf of the company, she maintained that the charges against her husband were baseless.

She added that her husband, a former US General Revenue Service special agent, was arrested without charge or explanation after arriving in Abuja for a financial compliance policy meeting.

Yuki Gambaryan accused the Nigerian Government of using her husband as a bargaining chip, a situation she described as devastating.

The Nigerian Government has charged Binance and Gambaryan with five counts of money laundering, which Yuki Gambaryan disputes.
