Madame Mystique, a socialite and former girlfriend of Nigerian singer Asake, has opened up about why she ended their relationship.

In response to a curious fan on her Instagram page asking about the breakup, Mystique explained that she broke up with the ‘Lonely At The Top’ singer because she felt he was allowing himself to be influenced by negative influences.

The fan asked, “Why did you break our national sweetheart’s heart? Our Asake.”

Mystique replied, “Because he wanted to let the devil use him.”

Addressing another fan who criticized her for not protecting Asake from negative influences instead of leaving him, Mystique clarified that he is a God-fearing man and suggested that the “devil” was merely a deceptive force.

She wrote, “Chill, he’s very much a man of God. The devil is just a trickster nonetheless.”

Asake and Madame Mystique’s relationship sparked rumors last year after they were seen sharing affectionate photos and videos online. However, reports emerged in March 2024 that their relationship had come to an end.
