The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its personnel under Operation Hadin Kai carried out a successful airstrike on June 5, 2025, neutralising several terrorists and destroying their equipment in Buratai, Borno State.
This was revealed in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters.
He disclosed that the operation was based on credible intelligence which indicated that insurgents were attempting to escape the area in four gun trucks.

Acting swiftly, NAF deployed air assets to the location, engaging the convoy with precision strikes. The air raid reportedly led to the elimination of multiple fighters and the destruction of two gun trucks carrying supplies.
The NAF spokesperson encouraged continued cooperation from the public, urging citizens to share actionable intelligence to aid ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. He added that more updates on the operation would be released as further details emerge.
Police Foil Highway Robbery In Bauchi, One Suspect Killed
The Bauchi State Police Command has thwarted a robbery attempt along the Toro-Jos federal highway during the early hours of Tuesday, June 4, 2025.
According to a statement released on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the operation followed a distress call received around 3:30 a.m., alerting the police that a group of armed men had barricaded the highway and were forcefully taking valuables from motorists.
