NAFDAC has shut down a supermarket in Abuja, following sale and distribution of counterfeit goods.
According to reports, the mall was found to have been stocked with bad and unregistered goods in the state.

Confirming the seal, a statement released by the agency noted that the supermarket, located in Maitama, Abuja, was said to have not only sold unregistered products, but also obstructed the officials in their job.
The statement reads;
‘’ Despite being invited to the Agency for further investigation, the supermarket’s management refused to comply. This prompted a follow-up operation by an enforcement team, during which the team also faced obstruction.”
Some products found and seized from the shop include: unregistered pet food, banned imported soaps, and counterfeit or re-bagged rice, among others.
