Serie A leaders, Napoli have commenced search to replace leading marksman, Victor Osimhen.

The Naples side are believed to be closely following Atalanta forward, Rasmus Hojlund and has been deemed the perfect replacement for Osimhen should the Nigerian striker make a summer move, Calciomercato reports.

Hojlund, 20, scored an impressive hat-trick for Denmark as they thrashed Finland 3-1 on Thursday night.

Other clubs from the English Premier League are also said to be interested in him.

Osimhen on the other hand, is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after netting 25 goals, helping Spalletti’s side to a 19-point lead at the top of the Serie A table and also into the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Manchester United and Chelsea lead the pack among trams interested in Osimhen, with Napoli looking for a €150m transfer fee, as per FootMercato.

The report reveals that while the Nigeria international is under contract until 2025, he could be on his way out of Italy this summer.

United are in the market for a high-profile striker, while Chelsea are also keen to add to their forward options.

However, the report states the Blues are not in a strong financial position after spending over £600m in recent windows.

Paris Saint-Geris are also in the running for Osimhen, though the forward has his heart set on a Premier League move.

Despite the hefty fee, the report states that United are prepared to meet the Serie A club’s demands, with Erik ten Hag’s side looking to mount a serious title challenge next season.
