Napoli’s interim coach, Francesco Calzona, is determined to reignite the attacking prowess of Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who played pivotal roles in the club’s Serie A triumph last season, contributing to 56 of their 77 goals.
However, their form has dipped this season, with only twenty-nine combined goals and a string of disappointing results for Napoli, including one win in their last five games.

In an effort to revitalize the team, Napoli turned to Calzona after previous coaches failed to replicate past successes. Under his guidance, Napoli has shown signs of improvement, securing two draws and a resounding 6-1 victory in recent matches.
Calzona is particularly focused on Osimhen, who has found the net in all three games under his tenure. Despite Napoli’s current 9th place standing in the league, Calzona remains optimistic about their prospects for European qualification.
Calzona on Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia:
“I believe because until mathematics condemns us, I believe. Victor needed to find his rhythm again after the AFCON, & he made himself available. The same goes for Kvara, who was struggling. I will never give up on these players; having them is important to me,”
