Football transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has hinted that Napoli’s star striker Victor Osimhen might be heading to Premier League teams Arsenal or Chelsea during the upcoming summer transfer window, even though Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has shown significant interest.

The Nigerian forward recently signed a contract extension with Napoli that runs through 2026, with a release clause reportedly set at 130 million euros. PSG sees Osimhen as a possible replacement for Kylian Mbappé, who is likely to leave the French club soon.

Osimhen is no stranger to Ligue 1, having played for Lille in the 2019-2020 season, where he scored 13 goals in 27 appearances. However, Di Marzio suggests that the striker has his sights set on the Premier League rather than a return to French football.

While PSG seems like a likely destination due to their good relationship with Napoli, Osimhen reportedly prefers a move to England to further his career. According to Di Marzio, “I’m not so convinced that Osimhen goes to PSG. He’s already played in France with Lille, and while PSG offers a chance to compete in high-stakes games like the Champions League semi-finals, his preference was and remains England.” He also mentioned that Chelsea and Arsenal are among the clubs that could secure Osimhen’s transfer.
