NAPTIP operatives have arrested a suspected child trafficker, while rescuing a victim.
Men of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP have reunited a baby boy with his family following his kidnap and trafficking.

According to reports, the boy was trafficked from Abuja to Aba in February 2025.
Confirming the incident on Monday, May 19, 2025, the agency disclosed that the suspect was arrested by the Directorate of State Service, Abia state command and was subsequently handed over to the NAPTIP.
She is alleged to have worked with three trafficking syndicates from Abuja and sold the child to a buyer.

The trafficker also disclosed that her fleeing accomplices received N1.8 million from the transaction, while she was paid N100,000.
NAPTIP is currently in search of the parents of the boy, as they plead with the general public in finding them.
