The Kogi State government’s ban on public gatherings is not unique to the state.

Similar restrictions have been imposed in other states, such as Bayelsa, Anambra, and Rivers, to prevent violence and maintain security.

Akpoti’s defiance poses a risk to the people of Kogi Central, and the government has warned that she will be held accountable if any violence erupts as a result of her actions.
