Strong indications have emerged that the long-standing rift between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central and the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, may have finally been resolved.
The breakthrough came on Thursday, when the Senate President publicly read an invitation letter from Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan inviting him and other lawmakers to commission constituency projects in Kogi State next week.

The invitation letter, personally signed by the Kogi senator, was read aloud during plenary by Senator Akpabio himself.
“In marking my second-year anniversary as a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish to invite my Distinguished colleagues to join me for the commissioning of projects in Kogi State,” the letter read in part.
The ceremony, scheduled to take place in Ihima, Okene Local Government Area, will begin from the senator’s residence at Plot 101, Jimoh Akpoti Street.
For lawmakers arriving by air, the letter indicated that the Obajana Airstrip would serve as the official landing point before a road convoy to the event venue.
Visibly pleased, Senate President Akpabio congratulated the senator in advance after reading the letter, saying: “Congratulations in advance.”
Recall that in March 2025, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended for six months following a heated dispute over Senate seat reallocation, a development that strained her relationship with the leadership.
Since her reinstatement on September 24, she has maintained an active legislative presence — including her recent contribution to the Criminal Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025, where she successfully moved an additional prayer adopted as a Senate resolution.
