Basketball enthusiasts in Nigeria are in for a treat as NBA Africa teams up with KFC Africa to promote basketball programs and events across the continent.

The two heavyweights have finalized plans for activations aimed at basketball fans in Nigeria and a few other African nations.

This was revealed during a recent media briefing by Emmanuel Kasambala, the KFC Marketing Director for the Rest of Sub-Saharan Africa.

According Kasambala, KFC fans and basketball fans will benefit from unique, co-branded items, limited-edition gear giveaways, and limited-edition KFC and NBA promotions as a result of this unusual alliance.

The partnership’s high point, according to Kasambala, is the opportunity for selected basketball fans to win tickets to live NBA games in the United States, as well as complimentary access to NBA League Pass, the league’s premium, live game subscription service.

KFC is also excited to connect with Nigerian youths in areas that they care about.

He also hinted at longer-term plans to use basketball to motivate Nigerian youngsters to achieve more in life, including a variety of community-based basketball activities.

Kasambala said;

“We are delighted to join with KFC Africa to launch a series of fan-centric activities and promotions as part of our efforts to provide engaging opportunities for basketball fans throughout the continent to engage with the NBA,” said NBA Africa CEO Victor Williams.

“We want to meet our fans where they are and make basketball more accessible, and we’re excited to reach out to new and existing fans through this collaboration with one of the world’s most renowned food companies and provide them with more opportunities to experience the NBA.”

“Through several of these substantial value propositions, both partners are convinced that this relationship will give rich value to Nigerian KFC and basketball enthusiasts.

“KFC Nigeria has created two fresh new meal packages as part of this historic debut, giving Nigerian basketball fans the opportunity to enjoy basketball games while eating delectable meals.

“KFC customers may have a taste of the newly launched MVP Box and All-Star Box meal choices by visiting any KFC outlet and placing an order.

“Fans of KFC and basketball can follow KFC Nigeria and #KFCBalling on social media to stay up to date on activities that will be carried out as part of the KFC and NBA collaboration in the coming months.”
