The ongoing probe of the Niger Delta Development Commission by Committees at the National Assembly look set to unearth more secrets as the days go by.

Following a revelation by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio that lawmakers are beneficiaries of 60% contracts awarded by the NDDC, photos backing that claim have surfaced online.

The photos posted by Jesuteke Prosper and Mudiaga Quincy Agbogu, allege that the member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Hon Nicholas Mutu is indeed guilty of the allegations labeled against him.

According to Prosper, “Two abandoned NDDC cottage hospitals, two abandoned Road projects in Odorubu community, Patani LGA, Delta state.

“All were facilitated and awarded to cronies of Hon Nicholas Mutu since 2012 and 2014.

“The rate of Hon Nicholas Mutu abandoned projects in Patani LGA is alarming.

“There is a shore protection project in Abari town, Patani LGA. It has also been abandoned.”

On his part, Quincy wrote;
“More evidence to show that most NASS members are major contractors in NDDC. Chief Akpabio know what he’s saying.Two abandoned NDDC cottage hospitals and two abandoned Road projects in Odorubu community, Patani LGA, Delta state.”

“All were facilitated and awarded to cronies of Hon Nicholas Mutu since 2012 and 2014.”

“There are alot of projects abandoned by Hon Nicholas Mutu in patani LGA.”

“There is a shore protection project in Abari town, Patani LGA. It has also been abandoned. Now that names and Some evidences are been shown what did the honorable Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila have to say to the public?”

“From the look of things, its obvious most baseless accusations on the Honourable Minister Chief Akpabio, the Director of Projects Dr. Cairo Ojougboh and the IMC team are just means to divert attentions and to cover up some ill tracks in their previous deals with the Commission (NDDC).”
