Revered Niger Delta group, Egbesu Brotherhood has lambasted the Special Adviser to the Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Udengs Eradiri.
Deputy Leader of the group, Comrade Ellington Bakumor, in a statement on Tuesday, berated the former National President of the Ijaw Youth Council over his unguided and unguarded remarks against High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, Alias Tompolo.
Udengs had cautioned Tompolo for calm, following the latter’s seven days ultimatum for the federal government to constitute a substantive board for the NDDC or face a looming unrest in the region.

While expressing disappointment for Udengs, the Brotherhood threw it’s weight behind the ultimatum by Tompolo.
Bakumor said;
“I was disappointed and heartbroken when I watched the Udengs Eradiri speak about Tompolo in such a disrespectful manner, being one of the greatest beneficiaries of the Ijaw struggle right from your Secretary days to been a selected President.
“You were backed all the while by the same TomPolo you speak so little of today. Your greed and selfishness led to the disunity that has crippled IYC to this day. You have further continued to sell Ijaw Nation cheap to your buyers and they will never trust you but see you as a cheap person they can use against Ijaw people.
“Your love for power has pushed you to continue towards the path of divide and rule and now because of you, Ijaw Nation is where it is today.
“Your recent interview not only proved your ungratefulnessc but also your over ambitiousness that even your paymaster Godswill Akpabio should be weary of you as it was never your own prerogative to grant such an interview.
“But thank God you gave such an interview. It is now clear to us that you are just after your personal gains as you have always been known for.
“I therefore by this message, back the seven days ultimatum given to the Federal Government by our Niger Delta Leader, TomPolo and advice Akpabio to do the right thing by inaugurating the NDDC board for the sake of a stable running country. Ijaws and Niger Deltans are fed up with stories.”
The group also called for the unconditional release of it’s National Coordinator, Apostle Kemepade Bodmas, who was arrested by the Department of State Service over alleged comments against the government.
“We also ask for the unconditional release of the National Coordinator of the Egbesu Brotherhood by the DSS as the habit of arresting critics of Buhari on Nigeria’s current state of insecurity is uncalled for. Those who criticize the government are not enemies of the President, but people who want the country to work,” Bakumor concluded.
