The Acting Managing Director of Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei alongside his team walked out on the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC.
According to Pondei, he and his team were not ready to present any reports before the committee.

The Acting MD even abjected that Chairman of the Committee, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has no grounds to preside over an over the investigative hearing in a matter he is also an accused.

Rep Benjamin Kali, Ben Ibakpa and Shehu Koko, all members of the Committee had told the Acting MD he is constitutionally bound to answer their queries since there was no documents before them.
Pondei sought for permission to leave and walked out before the committee could grant or reject his request, while members were still making contribution on the issue.
Pondei and his team were accused of purposeful attempts to frustrate legislative functions by furious members of the Committee.
The Committee ordered that a warrant of arrest be issued against him.
A vote of confidence was unanimously passed by the Committee on its Chairman, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
