The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of a businessman who attempted to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine by ingesting it.

Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, shared the development on Sunday, revealing details of the operation on his X account along with a video showing the seized narcotics.

The businessman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was apprehended after he excreted a substantial amount of the illicit drug.

According to Babafemi, the suspect’s actions were an attempt to bypass security checks, but the NDLEA’s efforts ensured his capture.

“Detty December: Before you swallow those drugs, please remember that the new @ndlea_nigeria has the capacity and capability to catch you,” Babafemi wrote.
