The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has showed extra commitment to shunning all forms of drug abuse and transportation, as it apprehends an Indian drug trafficker.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the body arrested the 42-year-old Indian lady following credible intelligence at the inward clearance of Qatar Airways flight QR1431 from Bangkok, Thailand, via Vietnam and Doha at the arrival hall of the Kano airport on Friday, March 14.
She was arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano, with 72 parcels of heroin.
Confirming the arrest in a statement on Sunday, March 24, the Director of the NDLEA on Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi noted that the substance was sealed in water wraps and packaged as chocolates.
The drugs weighed a total of 11 kilograms.
“A bid that vigilant NDLEA operatives have consistently frustrated with the aid of modern technological tools and proactive intelligence,“ he said
